The AXIL GS Electric ear protection gears against elevated noise levels while still allowing the user to hear functional sounds around them when the active sound button is turned on. Excellent in several environments.
These are excellent and convenient. Muffs are often not practical when wearing a hat, and sometimes when shooting rifle/shotgun. Have seen several folks using these, and all were very happy. Decided to give them a try. Was a bit concerned at first because didn't seem to block sound like foam plugs. Could actually hear fairly well. But once turned on, suppression worked as advertised. Worked great, comfortable and convenient. Will buy again.
the hearing protection and hearing amplification is excellent. the draw back to this item in it needs a longer cord between the ear buds and the ear bud cord needs to be form fitting around the ear.
I'm 71, have tinitus and mild hearing loss. Still enjoy small game hunting and shooting at local ranges. My old hearing protection was on the fritz and outdated. After research, I purchased the Axil Extreme 2.0 They have the highest NRR rating of 30 of ANY brand or type that I found. Have only been using for a short time, but these are awesome and have surpassed everything that I had tried. Also the type C charge port makes it easy to charge. You do not need to look farther. Excellent product, superior performance, customer service above and beyond. Get a pair, you won't be disappointed.
Looking for something in-ear, but didn't know anyone w/ these, so I took the chance. EXCELLENT! Took a little to situate, but then WOW - comfortable. I use mostly for in-door shooting range and these are Excellent protection! Used through 2 8-hour Sig Academy courses & still have a charge, too. Get a lot of questions between Sig & my Range, so hopefully I've helped sell some more USA-Made product!!

great customer service
Thanks to Weston (see other review) - one reason I took time to review was because of the great customer service I've mostly only had heard of second-hand (but I also did experience a little of it at Front Sight with their rep on location when I purchased ~1.5 years ago!). For long training days it does get a little uncomfortable (but not nearly as uncomfortable as the full ear muffs!), and they can occasionally get snagged using long guns (not really a fault of the product). My ONLY real regret is that I didn't get the bluetooth capability. At the time, I thought that was foolish as I would never be *listening to music* while on the range. HOWEVER, I later stumbled upon MantisX which can project their sounds (for example, the training draw beep) via bluetooth! When working with live fire this would definitely be of great benefit (but for now I'll be relegated to AirPods under 'standard' ear muffs to use the MantisX training platform in this way). So for anyone out there considering what configuration you might want/need, don't be afraid to consider the bluetooth option for future training expansion!
Love them. Intended through front sight. Have had them for a couple years. Keep them charged while stored and the always are ready.
I will say these are the best investment I’ve made for bird hunting
I wanted to use these for a whole hunting season before I left a review. I will say these are the best investment I’ve made for bird hunting, next to my dog. They have never ran out of battery even after hunting from sun up to sun down. I love that I can still have a conversation with my buddies while walking through a field and can hear where my dog is at. I will say they do pick up some wind noise on extremely windy days but I can still hear pretty well and they still operate as they should. They are extremely comfortable to wear all day and way more comfortable than over the ear muffs. I’ve also used these for deer hunting and they operate very well. I have no complaints and I’ve recommended these to all my buddies and would recommend them to anyone.
I have had them about a year now and have never had a problem.
I bought these at Front Sight Firearms Training Institute in Pahrump Nevada, I was at a four day handgun course when I electronic ear protection failed. These were about the same cost as the ear muff style protection. I was there with four pf my brothers and two of us bought these and they work GREAT. I have had them about a year now and have never had a problem. So I just ordered a set for my wife as she is just getting into shooting and I want her to have the same great protection.
They have never lost charge during 5-6 hr work shift.
Bought these a couple years ago to provide relief from wearing muffs for 5 hrs while working at our local range. A few months in one side developed static. Contacted CS and they swapped for new pair that's performed flawlessly since even in high heat and humidity conditions of SE Louisiana. Added note, these do not have BT and I charge them in my truck during the 1 hr drive to the range. They have never lost charge during 5-6 hr work shift.
