Purpose of Earbuds

GS Extreme Earbuds are the first earbuds of this type to give you full Bluetooth audio, with digital hearing enhancement and electronic hearing protection all in a small set of earbuds with lanyard.

This allows you to turn hearing enhancement and auto hearing protection on for any activity you want or to turn Bluetooth audio on separately- or you can use both Hearing Enhancement & Protection AND Bluetooth audio All at the Same time to give you the features and performance you need.

You can turn your Hearing Enhancement to your exact desired level for your specific need, while independently adjusting your Bluetooth audio to your exact desired level, so you can balance the sounds from both systems to your exact preference.

2 TYPES OF HEARING PROTECTION

1. Physical Protection

The most important type of hearing protection is the physical plugging off of your ear canal to protect your inner ear from damaging loud sounds.

The dB SNR rating refers to the amount of hearing protection you get when using the product properly to seal off your ear canal(s).

2. Technology Protection - Sound Compression

This is the technology inside the earbuds that limits the loud sounds coming into your ears.

Electronic hearing compression detects the loud sounds coming into the microphones in your earbuds and limits the amount of loudness of those sound waves to keep loud sounds out and only let safe sounds into your ear canal.

OSHA standard says that 8 hours of continuous exposure to loud sounds over 85 dB may cause permanent hearing damage. Therefore, the dB limit on the GS Extreme is set at 85 dB, which means only sounds up to 85 dB will be allowed to pass through the technology. All sounds louder than 85 dB will be limited down to 85 dB to keep your hearing safe.
