When you push on the bottom part of the toggle switch, you open the Sound Port. Now the product is in Open Mode, allowing you to hear what’s going on around you and block out loud impulse noises.
When you push on the top part of the toggle switch, you close the Sound Port. Now the product is in closed mode providing a block to all surrounding noise.
The X30i Earplug features a valve that opens and closes with a simple toggle switch. This lets you instantly transition between hearing and protecting at the same time or hearing protection only.
The X30i Earplug product is designed to provide the wearer with hearing protection against two types of noise: continuous noise (Closed mode) and impulse noise (Open mode). The mode is selected by operating the toggle switch while the product is in the ear.
The X30i Earplug features multiple tip sizes and styles to choose from. This lets you fully customize what feels best for you while protecting your hearing.
Ideal for extreme noise environments such as air travel, concerts, auto racing, stadium events, shooting, machine shops, farming, roadbuilding, and construction; any situation where health and safety require the use of hearing protection i.e. where noise levels are above the safe limit of 85 dB.

I have used one pair thus far. I really like the option of the various ear tips. I have not, however, found the combination that might allow me to use while riding my tractor, and not having to add ear muffs. Still, I like these ear plugs for their comfort and I wear them for other equipment.

I love these ear plugs, they’re low profile, doesn’t require batteries and protects my hearing from the blasts of a 450bm to a 257wby. I can still hear people talking to me and achieve perfect cheek welds on my own rifle whilst shooting pigs. The electronic muffs of other brands started to crush my head and became an issue getting cheek welds. These things fit right in your pocket and pop in and out of your ears with ease, they come with several plug sizes to fit you best.

They fit in my ear great having the different sized tips to interchange. They work great being a welder in a manufacturing setting with the on off button when I need to discuss a blueprint or anything with a coworker.

Works great! Cuts off the loud noises. They're very comfortable. They're also flat enough so that you can easily double up with over ears.
The X30i earplugs are ok. They worked great until the switch fell off both one week after using. I would not waste the extra money on the X30i, just get the X20. There is also no warranty for ear plugs through Axil, just save yourself the money.

They fit snugly in your ears. The design means you don't have to worry about them falling out of your ears. They're on a whole different level than any other earplug I've ever used. I'll buy them again.
I love how soft and comfortable they are! Very quick and easy to put it. They work very well with dampening the surrounding noises while still making it easy to have conversations with people. As someone who works in Manufacturing working around loud machines i approve!

They are comfortable. They even fit my ears. And I have a hard time finding earphones that work. They come with different sizes of the foams to fit your ears.
Comfy but not didn’t think the ‘conversation’ mode was as good as I hoped. I’ll try other sizes and see if that helps

They’re great with the over the ear suppressors (earmuffs). I really like the fact that the earmuffs have a storage location within the earmuffs. It helps me prevent putting them down and loosing them when I can simply put them in the earmuffs and know where they are next time I need them
I'm a little hard of hearing and I am surprised that when I pay attention, I can understand mostly what is being said directly to me while shotgun reports are muffled well enough for my own hearing comfort. The inserts for the ear canal fit me well and I have very little soreness if any after wearing them for a lengthy sporting clay session. And I have not had a problem with these ear plugs staying in place. I was anxious to try these out and I am very satisfied with their performance while my use is mostly during my solo practice time on the sporting clay courses. I personally still need my "loud noise cancelling" ear buds to enhance voices while shooting with others.

Extremely comfortable ear protection. Plenty of protection if shooting subsonic/suppressed. Works great with my impact pros from Howard Leight. Unfortunately the Axil MXII Pros do not amplify sound enough to be used with these for double protection

Once you get the x 30 placed correctly they do what they supposed to do! I ran my wood chipper for two hours and I could talk to my grandson and still not hurt my ears! He had the Axil electronic ear muffs and he loves them! I love all my Axil products!
I’ve always used foam ear plugs with over ear protection - but when I upgraded to the MX II Pros I decided to try the X30i earplugs. They are infinitely more comfortable than foam plugs and block more loud sounds. I highly recommend them.
